WOMENS GROUP
The Women's Group was established in 2002. Since their establishment they have meet to discuss issues relating to the women/families/children in the community.
The Women's Group is set up to look at how we as women in the community can have a input into the community for the future of our families. Women's Group also assist and support the Men's Group with project/programs involving the youth in the community.
The purpose of the establishing a Women's Group is to give the women an input and a voice when they are addressing issues that effect the lifestyle of community members. The Women's Group will take on an educative role by inviting speakers to address any concerns that the women may have. The presentation which chosen speakers will present to the women in the community will address issues such as; Family Violence, Alcohol & Substances abuse, Sexual/Child abuse and fight to have specific resources in the community to assist the community to discuss and find possible solutions to combat our struggle to maintain our independences as citizens of this country.
